Yara Mayasa deliv­ers insight into queer nov­els and films of syr­i­an artists. Mayasa is a Syr­i­an edu­ca­tor & activist for Arab LGBTQI rights in Syr­ia & Turkey. In April 2015 she fled to Turkey, but after attacs by the Turk­ish police with tear gas, rub­ber bul­lets and water can­nons to par­tic­i­pants of CSD Istan­bul she left to Ger­many, still fight­ing for LGBTQI rights spe­cial­ly in arab coun­tries.
